| 內容簡介 | 林椿，生卒年不詳。浙江錢塘（今杭州）人。南宋孝宗淳熙年間（1174－1189），任畫院待詔，工畫花草、翎毛、瓜果，傅色輕淡，生意藹然。 本幅畫折枝海棠一枝，或盛開、或含苞。花之設色，以白粉為底，罩以胭脂，嬌柔可人。 本幅選自「宋元集繪」冊。 |
| Description | The dates for Lin Ch’un, a native of Hang chow, remain unknown. Active during the Ch’un-his era (1174-1189) as a Painting-in–attendance at court, he specialized in painting flowers-and-grasses, birds-and-animals, and fruits-and-vegetables using a light yet colorful style that was quite lifelike. This painting shows a branch of cherry-apple buds and blossoms. The coloring of the blossoms is done using white pigment as the foundation, to which rouge was added for a soft, velvety effect. This leaf comes from the album “Collected Paintings of the Sung and Yuan.” |
