| 內容簡介 | 黃鉞（西元一七五○－一八四一年），字左田，乾隆五十五年進士，善畫山水與花卉。「龢豐協象」共有十二幅，都是描寫農家過年時節送臘迎春的情景，有子孩玩太平鼓的歡樂情景，親朋好友互贈禮物以敦親睦鄰。家中經過一番清掃後，再買些花兒、春聯、年畫、窗花，將家?佈置得煥然一新，祭祖拜天，燃放爆仗，迎接新年。末幅以五色祥雲象徵祥瑞，祈願天下太平，物阜民豐，永享安樂。 |
| Description | Peace and Prosperity at the New Year Huang Yueh (1750-1841) Ch’ing Dynasty Huang Yueh passed the civil service examinations in 1791 and excelled at painting landscapes and flowers. Composed of 12 leaves, this album depicts countryside scenes of sending off the old and welcoming the new during the Chinese New Year. The scenery includes the joyous beating of a “peace” drum as well as friends and neighbors visiting and exchanging gifts. After cleaning up home, one would buy flowers, New Year’s couplets, New Year’s pictures, and window flowers for decoration. With the home like new, offerings are made to ancestors and the heavens as firecrackers greet the New Year. In the last work here, colorful clouds symbolize good luck, bringing peace and prosperity as well as eternal happiness. |
