| 內容簡介 |
黃鉞（1750-1841），安徽當塗人。字左田，一字左君。歷仕乾、嘉、道三朝，善畫山水與花卉。曾參與編修《石渠寶笈三編》，著有《畫友錄》、《畫品》。
黃鉞致仕多年，關心國事，繪事多涉及鄉野市井、販夫走卒生活情景。本幅選自＜畫春臺熙皋冊＞，畫面描寫販花情境，帶出四時花卉主題。文士買花由侍童栽植於瓷盆中，花販籃擔另裝有各色菊花。全冊共十六幅，均繪太平四時景物，此圖列於四時之首，祈願天下太平，物阜民豐。上方有嘉慶十七年（1812）御題。(20110102)

| Description |
Huang Yue, a native of Dangtu in Anhui, went by the style names Zuotian and Zuojun. He served the court under the Qianlong, Jiaqing, and Daoguang Emperors, excelling in the painting of landscape and flower subjects. He was one of the editors of the imperial catalogue Treasure Chests of the Stone Moat, Volume III and authored Record of the Friend of Painting and Categories of Painting.
Huang Yue served as an official for many years and was concerned with matters of state, often painting scenes of urban and countryside life as well as the activities of peddlers. This leaf from the album “Paintings on Prosperity” depicts a scene of peddling flowers to present the subject of flowers in the four seasons. Here a scholar has bought some flowers from a peddler and asked child attendants to pot them, the peddlers’ pole baskets to the side filled with chrysanthemums of various colors. The entire album consists of 36 leaves, all depicting scenery of peace throughout the seasons. This work appears at the start of the four seasons, offering a wish for peace in the country and prosperity for the people. At the top is an imperial inscription dated to 1812 from the Jiaqing reign.(20110102)
