| 內容簡介 |
盛懋（約西元十四世紀）字子昭，浙江臨安人，後來遷移到浙江嘉興的魏塘鎮。他畫山水、人物、花鳥，最初是向陳琳學習的，技法熟練以後，加入自己的畫法，而形成了自己的風格。
塘中一斜坡，坡上一棵柳樹，下有野鴨棲息著。燕子逐著春光，一派春日景象。本幅畫有「子昭」款，惟畫風似與其他盛懋作品不同，疑為後人所加。

| Description |
Wild ducks rest beneath a willow that stands on the slanted slope in the middle of the pond, while swallows chase the spring light--a scene typical of the season. The painting is signed "Tzu-chao"--Sheng Mou's style name--but since this painting differs considerably from Sheng Mou's other works, the signature may be only a later addition.
Sheng Mou's landscapes, portraits, and flower-and-bird paintings initially resembled those of his teacher Ch'en Lin, but as his technique matured he developed his own style. Originally from Lin-an in Chekiang, he later moved to Wei-t'ang in Chia-hsing in the same province.
