| 內容簡介 |
「折技花」只描繪全株之一小部分，摘取它的自然態勢，不假搭配或增飾。因注意力集中在一枝之上，故觀察與描繪都相當詳盡細膩。秋葵又名黃蜀葵，花開於夏秋間，屬於代表「秋意」之花卉。

| Description |
This "broken branch" of hibiscus depicts only a small part of the entire plant and contains no superfluous decoration, but it suffices to display the blossoms'naturalbeauty. Broken branches such as this constitute a distinct genre of Chinese flower painting. By focusing on this one stem, the artist has been able to minutely observe the flower and paint it in great detail. The hibiscus, also known as the marsh mallow, blossoms in late summer or early fall; it is one of the flowers symbolic of autumn.
