| 內容簡介 |
項聖謨(1597-1658),浙江嘉興人。字孔彰,號易庵,又號胥山樵。為明代大收藏家項元汴的孫子,早年家中藏有大量古代書畫,與當代著名文人董其昌、陳繼儒等友好,受文人畫論影響,很早開始臨仿古人畫作。
此開以黃公望慣用的土石平臺組成主要山體,但未援用大癡的披麻皴法,而以肯定、方折的輪廓線勾勒出堅實山體,加以側筆乾擦後染以淡墨,更添山體的量感與立體感。畫中出現一策杖隱士單獨行走於深山之中,增添畫境的生意,也有隱居避世的畫意。

| Description |
Xiang Shengmo (style name Kongzhang; sobriquets Yi’an and Xushanqiao) was a native of Jiaxing in Zhejiang. A grandson of the great Ming dynasty collector Xiang Yuanbian, in his early years a large number of ancient works of painting and calligraphy were in the family collection. He also closely associated with such famous literati contemporaries as Dong Qichang and Chen Jiru, coming under the influence of literati painting theories and starting to copy ancient works of art from a very early age.
This album leaf employs the rocks and flat outcroppings commonly used by Huang Gongwang to construct the main mountain forms, but it lacks his hemp-fiber texture strokes. Furthermore, the concerted and angular outline strokes delineating the solid mountain forms, combined with the washes of light ink added to the slanted-brush dry texturing, give the mountain forms a greater sense of weight and volume. In the painting appears a recluse walking alone deep in the mountains and holding a staff, giving the scenery a sign of life while conveying the idea of retiring from the world and living in reclusion.
