文徵明（西元一四七○－一五五九年）江蘇長洲人。初名壁，字徵明，後以字行，亦字徵仲，別號停雲生、衡山居士。詩文書畫皆佳。畫師沈周，而別有造詣，為明四大家之一。
文徵明「花卉冊」共八開，作於嘉靖十二年，時年六十四歲。本幅名「洛浦凌波」，畫溪岸水仙竹石。水仙以雙鈎白描法畫出，線條優美，佈置得勢，與墨竹虛實對應，靈氣活現，清雅幽明。

Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559)
Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
Wen Cheng-ming was a native of Ch’ang-chou, Kiangsu. He was skilled in all of the literati arts: poetry, prose, calligraphy and painting. Wen Cheng-ming learned painting from Shen Chou and he became one of the four masters of the Ming dynasty.
This album is comprised of eight leaves and was painted in 1533, when the artist was sixty-four. On this leaf, the narcissus is painted in the pai-miao ink-outline mode and provides an interesting contrast with the positive image of the bamboo in monochrome ink. An air of elegance and purity infuses the whole scene.
