南極老人星賦。萬壽之靈。三辰之英。其出也。表君之瑞。其入也。助月之明。但仰祥光。莫辨皤然之象。方資瑞筭。斯垂耄矣之名。皇家以大洽雍熙。咸臻仁壽。感垂象之丕變。彰御圖之可久。爰假號於耆年。實歸美於元后。南郊享處。能無鼓缶之歌。銀漢經時。誰是游河之友。觀夫落落正位。熒熒影踈。應春秋之候。出丙丁之隅。視合壁之祥兮未異。顧連珠之瑞兮若無。象茲黃髮。永我鴻圖。是何上象著明。昌時合偶。曆數自延於人主。名實何慙於國叟。月輪遙睹。安車之意寧無。天駟傍瞻。失馬之嗟何有。此蓋君著明德。天陳瑞星。會茲鼎盛。薦乃椿齡。增芳華於信史。協休美於祥經。每覩運行。如縱心于黃道。無差躔次。疑尚齒於青冥。遂使歷象者考祥。占天者改觀。挂碧空而的的。度青宵而爛爛。非時不見。如四皓之避秦。有道必居。若二踈之在漢。北闕前瞻。獨呈祥於有爛。南山俯映。共獻壽於無疆。士有仰而賦曰。天之象兮示勸。君之位兮善建。實替天靈之數。永協華封之願。又何必周王之夢九。而嵩岳之呼萬者也。壬申(西元一六三二年)十月望日書。董其昌。

內容簡介 董其昌(西元一五五五至一六三六年)松江華亭人。字玄宰。萬曆十七年(一五八九)進士,累官湖廣提學副使,太常少卿,禮部侍郎,天啟五年(一六二五)拜南京禮部尚書。集書畫創作、批評、理論、收藏、鑑別、著述於一身,是明代後期深具影響力的藝術家。 董其昌書法初學顏真卿、鍾繇、王犧之,中年以後廣搜博採,擷取古人特長,晚年更以己意融合晉唐宋人筆意而臻大成。本幅為七十八歲所書,運筆圓熟遒健,行間布置勻稱,是晚年用意之作。
Description Tung Ch'i-ch'ang (style name hsuan-tsai) was a native of Hua-t'ing, Sungkiang. Having received his chin-shih civil service degree in 1589, he went on to serve in various posts, such as Assistant Commissioner of Education in Hu-Kuang, Vice minister of Ceremonies, Gentleman of Rites, and minister of Rites in Nanking (appointed 1625). In terms of painting and calligraphy, Tung was an artist, critic, theorist, collector, connoisseur, and author all in one. He thus became an extremely influential artist of the late Ming dynasty(1368-1644). In calligraphy, Tung Ch'i-ch'ang first studied the styles of Yen Chen-ch'ing (709-785), Chung Yu (151-230), and Wang Hsi-Chih (303-365). After Tung's middle years, he searched far and wide to choose from the best of the ancients' calligraphic styles. In his later years, he fused the styles of Chin (317-420), Tang (618-907), and Sung (960-1279) calligraphers to eventually form his own great synthesis. This scroll was done at the age of 77. The brushwork is polished and forceful, thus being a concerted effort of his later years.
