| 內容簡介 | 吳大澂（西元一八三五－一九○二年），吳縣（今江蘇蘇州）人。字清卿，號恆軒，晚號愙齋。少從陳碩甫學篆書，中年參以古籀法，益精工。行楷方正流麗，兼長刻印。精鑑別，喜收藏，尤能審釋古文奇字。此二幅山水小景，無論是月夜獨步於寒林之間，或是群山雲嵐環抱的松下雅集，畫家皆以秀雅縝密的筆法寫之。山石坡陀上濃淡相疊的橫直苔點，更為雅淡的畫面增添幾分墨韻變化。 |
| Description | Wu Ta-ch’eng was an important artist and official. He excelled at large seal as well as semi-cursive and standard scripts. Skilled at seal carving, he was also a major connoisseur of art and scholar in the late Ch’ing dynasty. Whether depicting the night moon shining over a cold forest or strolling under a pine surrounded by mountains, clouds and the wind, these two small scenes have both been executed with dense yet elegant brushwork. The contrasting thick and light, horizontal and vertical moss dots piled on the mountains and rocks imbue the painting with an even greater sense of elegance and variation. |
