郭梁，字劍狂，福建福安人。善人物，初學黃慎，後追摹宋元明諸家，畫藝益進。尤擅長仕女，神韻瀟灑，筆致巂逸。作畫態度認真，先打草稿，待定稿後再描模、著色。
郭氏喜畫歷史人物，本幅作於民國十八年（1920），幅中人物騎驢帶劍，旁有侍從隨行，雖未題名所畫何人，卻頗有俠士僕僕風塵之意。筆法放逸，線條富於粗細轉折變化，用色清雅，擅用濃墨提點，表現層次。
何應欽先生捐贈於民國77年。

Guo Liang (style name Jiankuang), a native of Fu'an in Fujian, excelled at painting figures, at first studying the style of Huang Shen and later copying from masters of the Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties to advance his art. He excelled at painting ladies in a natural and spirited manner with untrammeled brushwork. A diligent painter, only after finalizing a draft would he making a tracing and then add colors.
Guo enjoyed painting historical figures, and this work from 1929 shows a figure riding on a donkey with a sword. By his side is an attendant. Although Guo did not indicate who the figure is, he has conveyed the idea of an itinerant hero. The brushwork is untrammeled and the lines varied with thickness and turns. The coloring is also pure and elegant, the artist excelling in dark ink and dabbing to create layering.
Mr. Ho Ying-chin donated this painting to the National Palace Museum in 1988.

郭梁、字は剣狂、福建福安の人。人物畫を善くし、初めは黃慎に学び、後に宋、元、明代諸家を臨模して腕を磨いた。特に仕女畫（宮廷の女官）を得意とし、脫俗的で洗練された神韻と、整った筆致の中にも飄逸とした雰囲気がある。郭梁の作畫方法は生真面目とも言え、まず草稿を起こし、定稿を作ってからそれを写して著色した。
郭梁は歷史上の人物を好んで描いた。本作は民國18年（1929）の作品で、剣を帶びてロバに乘る人物と、その傍らに從う侍從が描かれている。この人物が誰であるかは記されていないが、流浪の旅を続ける侠客の雰囲気がよく表れている。その筆法は放逸で、線の太さも変化に富み、清雅な色遣いに濃墨で変化をつけ、奧行きを表現している。
民國77年（1988）何応欽氏寄贈。
