此畫冊因前副頁題「小中現大」四字，又稱〈小中現大冊〉，共二十二冊，畫者推測為王時敏，對開有董其昌題識。此冊代表著董其昌及其後續之清初正統派對古代風格的認識與掌握。
此開畫面描繪環伺層山，圍出一個水澤谷地。環山緊密相接，峰頂處皆有疊巒相續，山際交疊處描繪著許多低矮樹叢，營造出山林草木繁盛效果。以直線描繪山體質面，又以橫向墨點構成礬頭造型，皆屬董巨風格之影響。此一縮臨本能有效傳遞黃公望山水構圖的講究，並提供觀者掌握畫作中不同母題的彼此關係。

Because the frontispiece page to this album of paintings has four characters for “Within small, see large,” the album is also known by the title “To See Large Within the Small.” There are a total of 22 leaves, and the painter is presumed to be Wang Shimin with inscriptions on opposing leaves by Dong Qichang. This album represents the understanding of ancient styles by Dong Qichang in the late Ming and their continuation in the Orthodox School of the early Qing.
This painting on leaf 8 of the album depicts layers of mountains that encircle a water-filled valley. The surrounding mountains are densely connected, the peaks layered in connection and the interstices between them depicted with many short tree clusters, creating a very vibrant forest with lush vegetation. Using vertical lines to depict the mountain faces, horizontal ink dots were then added to create alum-head forms, all of which belong to the influence of the Dong-Ju (Dong Yuan and Juran) style. This reduced copy effectively conveys the particularities of Huang Gongwang’s landscape composition, providing viewers with a grasp of the interactive relationship between different motifs in the painting.

この畫冊の見返しある「小中現大」四文字の題から、「小中現大冊」とも稱される。計二十二冊。作者は王時敏だと推測され、もう一方の頁には董其昌の題識がある。本冊は、董其昌及びそれに続いた清代初期正統派の古典様式に対する理解とその深さを示している。
明清代の文獻資料に黃公望「陡壑密林」に關する記載がある。詩塘に黃公望の題識と董其昌の跋があったとされ、その內容は本作の董其昌の題識と一致する。本作には谷間の沼沢地を囲むように重なる山々が描かれている。四方を取り囲み密集する山々の尾根は繋がり、山際の交錯する箇所に背の低い樹木がびっしりと描かれ、草木が生い茂る山林の様子が表現されている。直線で山の形が、横方向の墨点で礬頭（岩石）が描かれている。いずれにも董巨の畫風の影響が見られる。この縮臨本は黃公望の山水構図に対するこだわりを見事に伝えているばかりか、作品中の異なるモチーフそれぞれの關係も見て取れる。
