說頓首上啟。明善宗簿懿親侍史。近兩上狀。一附彌大。一送華亭。未知已得呈達否。比又辱誨示。承已達行在。感慰兼至。信復。伏惟尊履申福。宗寺職務清簡。諒多娛暇。正恐朝夕別有異數耳。說碌碌不足數。到官已半年。更如許時。通理當滿。預有填壑之憂。正遠冀寶鍊沖粹。不宣。說頓首上啟明善宗簿懿親侍史。八月晦。

| 內容簡介 | 吳說（？－1169以後）字傅朋，號練塘，浙江杭州人。父親吳詩禮喜好收藏，以詩文書法見稱於時。吳說頗能傳緒家學，對於書法的探索尤其深入，隸書、小楷書、行草書和游絲書均有可觀，所作榜書曾讓宋高宗歎為觀止，以為難以取代。此件手札寫與宗正寺主簿明善，談及彼此工作情形，書法猶然晉人韻度，是知當蘇、黃、米書風盛行之際，傳統古風仍為時人取擇的方向。 (20101015) |
| Description | Wu Yue (style name Fupeng, sobriquet Liantang) was a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. His father Wu Shili was fond of collecting and renowned at the time for his literary arts and calligraphy. Wu Yue was also quite gifted in the family tradition, particularly exploring and delving into calligraphy, achieving considerable results in clerical, small regular, and semi-cursive scripts as well as “silk-strand” calligraphy. The announcement lists that Wu wrote were even admired by Emperor Gaozong, who found them difficult to substitute. This letter was written to the Recorder for the Court of the Imperial Clan, named Mingshan, briefly discussing a recent situation with work. The writing is similar to the harmony of Jin calligraphers of old. Thus, despite the popularity of the styles of such Northern Song calligraphers as Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, and Mi Fu, the traditional ancient manners were still a direction being pursued by calligraphers at the time.(20101015) |
