| 內容簡介 |
千重翠蓋的荷塘邊，亭榭遮隱在叢竹綠蔭中，眾人或倚欄靠觀荷；或蕩舟搖櫓採蓮。成排高拔的脩竹，作為水岸二景的分隔，加以厚重的敷彩，構圖沈穩，頗能形容出「蘭棹舉，水紋開，競攜藤籠採蓮來」的夏日盛景。
本幅選自「紈扇畫冊」第七幅。

| Description |
Lotuses and bamboo create layer-upon-layer of greenery in this painting. A pavilion has been built by the edge of a lotus pond and is surrounded by slender stalks of bamboo. Inside are four figures, while four others are seen in a nearby boat picking lotuses. Bamboo bending under the weight of their leaves serve to separate the two parts of the composition as well as add color and stability. The result is a fitting description of a line describing a summer day; "Lifting the pole, the surface of the water breaks into ripples. I quickly get my basket to pick and gather the lotuses."
