| 內容簡介 |
白鷺兩對棲於蘆葦叢生的洲渚岸邊，一飲啄、一飛降、一靜息，一仰首迎接。全畫用墨層次豐富，掌握住秋天的景緻氣氛。在題材、構圖、設色上保留南宋汀渚水鳥小景畫的意趣，但通幅筆力較為薄弱。
本幅選自「歷代畫幅集冊」第十一開。

| Description |
Two pairs of white egrets stand out at a sandy shoal with a cluster of reeds. Two of them on the ground are looking down. Another is looking up at the one descending as if to greet it. The layers of ink washes in this work are exceptionally refined, revealing that the artist had a firm grasp of the details of forms as well as the atmosphere of a misty autumn day.
This work in terms of subject matter, composition, and coloring preserves the essence of so-called "intimate scenery" painting of shoals and waterfowl from the Southern Sung period (1127-1279). Overall, however, the brushwork appears slightly weak. This is the 11th leaf from "Album of Collected Paintings Through the Ages".
