| 內容簡介 |
細雪飄花,山喜鵲一雙,倚偎於梅梢上。梅枝勾勒,線條精整,畫中梅,圈瓣以淡墨細線為之,外圍復以白粉提醒,萼則以胭脂紅敷染,色彩搭配,雖不繁複,令人有如於雪光下,見清雅君子,一塵不染。宋人作畫重理,畫花尤重寫生,此幅足為一例。前人論畫梅,枝幹交錯之法,有如「女」字,此幅雖為寫生一枝,亦於此法符合。
本幅為「歷代畫幅集冊」第八幅。

| Description |
In light snow and among graceful plum blossoms is perched a pair of magpies. The plum branches are outlined with delicate and orderly lines. In the painting of the plum blossoms, the petals were done with fine lines of light ink. The outer edges of the petals were redone in white to provide contrast, and the calyxes were rendered by washes of rouge. The colors complement each other, and though there are not many of them in the painting, the colors suggest the image of an elegant gentleman unsullied amidst the bright cold snow.
Sung dynasty artists emphasized the principles of paintings. In flower paintings, depicting from life was especially stressed, as this painting surely testifies. Theories of plum blossom painting by early critics include the method of plum branches and trunks crossing as do the strokes in the character "nu女." Even though there is only one plum branch in this painting that was depicted from life, it is nonetheless in agreement with this theory.
