| 內容簡介 |
陳居中，嘉泰間（西元一二0一至一二0四年）畫院待詔。工畫人物，亦擅蕃族人馬。宋元載籍關於陳氏之資料極少，至明則時見其作品流傳之記載，而以人馬題材居多。元柯九思推許陳氏之作，不亞於宣和蕃馬名家黃宗道。
一人騎馬，並牽引一匹駿馬馳騁於平原上。騎者紅衫白鬚，應是身份尊貴者，衣冠為唐款式。馬匹壯碩，舉步安穩，似經良好之調教。全幅畫風有追法唐人的畫意。

| Description |
Ch'en Chu-chung was an attendant in the Painting Academy in the Chia-tai Era (1201-1204) who specialized in portraying figures on Mongolian horses. Although very few mentions of him appear in the Sung and the Yuan writings, references to his works occasionally came to be noted during the Ming. Most of those record his forte as a painter of normadic tribesmen on horses. The Yuan painter K'o Chiu-ssu praised Ch'en's work as being as fine as that of Huang Ch'ung-tao, a well-known horse painter of the Hsuan-ho period of the Sung Dynasty.
A man riding a horse and leading another fine steed gallops across the flatlands. The white-whiskered rider is most likely of noble rank; his apparel, consisting in part of a vermilion-colored shirt, is of the T'ang Dynasty style. The horses are large and strong, their strides steady, as if the training is moving in a desirable direction toward completion. The entire work exhibits an atmosphere and characteristics of the T'ang period.
