| 內容簡介 |
蔣溥（西元一七○八－一七六一年），江蘇常熟人，蔣廷錫之子。雍正八年成進士。善繪花卉，能傳家學，隨意布置，多得生趣。作品每多獲乾隆御題。畫題出自二十四孝「楊香打虎」。漢楊香年十四歲，天性純孝，一日隨父往田割粟，路中遇虎，父驚嚇，且為老虎攫去，楊香在旁，奮不顧身，抱持虎頸，手執虎毛，腳夾虎腰，亂拳擊虎首，虎懼，急放其父而逃，父子幸得無恙。

| Description |
Chiang P’u, a native of Ch’ang-shu, Kiangsu, was the son of the well-known painter Chiang T’ing-hsi. He received his chin-shih degree in 1730. In painting, Chiang P’u followed the style of his father, specializing in bird-and-flower subjects, and his woeks were often inscribed by Emperor Ch’ien-lung.
This painting illustrates the story of Yang Hsiang of the Han dynasty (206B.C. – 220A.D.), on of the Twenty-four Paragons of Filial Piety. One day while harvesting rice in the fields with his father they were attacked by a tiger. The beast grasped the frightened old man in his clows, Yang Hsiang, Knowing no fear, set upon the tiger, grabbed his head in a headlock, pulled on his tail and wildly flailed at the tiger with feet and fists. The frightened tiger released Yang Hsiang’s father and beat a hasty retreat. Father and son returned home without injury.
