An Ottoman-era embroidered velvet coat with a wide, almost semi-circular hem, consisting of three pieces of fabric, two at the front and one at the back, with semi-moveable, decorative sleeves joined at the sleeve loops, using semi-three-dimensional cutting tecnique. The velvet material of this coat is embroidered with intricate curly straw floral lines and elaborately decorated sleeves, using gold thread and silk strings coiled and stapled onto the velvet. This ornate and noble style of decoration is common found among the Ottoman nobility.
