| 內容簡介 |
蔣廷錫（西元一六六九－一七三二年），江蘇常熟人。字揚孫，一字酉君，號西谷，南沙。歷官文華殿學士，有政聲，未第時與顧雪坡遊，善寫生。服官後，矜重不苟作，偶為一二，又為宮禁所寶，流傳真跡絕少。清康熙八年己酉生，雍正十年壬子卒六十四。畫中花果折枝採來，色彩溫馨，景雖不繁，卻有秋日花果滿園豐的氣氛。畫法也非常規矩，較無瀟洒自由的本色，是美中不足。本幅為名人畫扇上冊第十二幅。

| Description |
Chiang T’ing-hsi (style names Yang-sun and Yu-chun; sobriquets Hsi-ku and Nan-sha) was a native of Ch’ang-shu, Kiangsu. He served as Grand Secretary in the Wen-hua Hall. Before taking public office, Chiang T’ing-hsi was a friend of Ku Hsueh-p’o and often enjoyed painting from nature. However, after becoming an official, his paintings became more carefully executed and only done occasionally. Since most of his works were in the imperial collection, few examples found their way into private hands.
In this fan painting mounted as an album leaf are fruit and some branches of flowers. The colors of the washes are warm and radiant while the composition is spacious and uncomplicated. The painting is filled with the fruits and flowers of the autumn season. The style of painting, in terms of brush, ink and composition, is very controlled. Although not very spontaneous or free, the beauty of the motifs is clearly evident.
