汪維，字虎溪，生卒時年籍貫，畫史均無記載，僅知喜愛讀書，終日閉門不出，有高士遺風。能繪畫，用筆立意都尚佳。

| Description |
Little is known of the life of Wang Wei (tzu Hu-hsi) other than the fact that he was a scholar during the Chia-ch’ing era (1796-1820) who lived out his old age in seclusion in the tradition of distinguished scholars. He was an able painter whose brush technique and areìstic vision were excellent.
