此一成扇為金箋,畫上款題「枝隱吳彬」並鈐二印。畫連綿山體於中後景,前景是叢樹、岩塊、屋舍,藉便橋連結。畫旨描繪山中隱居所在,山頭雖以短筆墨點表現礬頭堆疊,但仍有清晰輪廓線總成山體輪廓,與吳彬其他山水造型方式相通。畫中描繪兩座方形對峙山體,有意突出奇山景緻效果。

This painted folding fan on gold-speckled paper features a signature for “Wu Bin, [sobriquet] Zhiyin” and two of his seals. Here he has painted continuous mountain forms in the middle- and background with tree, rock, and architectural forms in the foreground connected by a temporary bridge. The painting is a rendering of a mountain retreat. Although the mountaintops were depicted with layers of alum-head brush strokes, one can still clearly see outlines of the forms, a mode similar to that found in the landscapes of Wu Bin’s other paintings. The work depicts two peaks opposing each other, intentionally creating the effect of unusual mountain scenery.
