內容簡介(英文) |
The signature and seal on this work do not appear to be in the style of Lu Ji, the painting of the flowers and leaves with the bird apparently patterned after “Autumnal Egrets and Hibiscus.” The monthly rose and hibiscus are rendered in shades of pink. Lacking the pure elegance of hibiscus, it tends more towards opulent beauty and having less luster. The leaves and bird appear likewise, the lines not equal to the finesse of “Autumnal Egrets and Hibiscus.” The rendering of the branches is patterned after Bian Wenjin, while the forms of the bamboo leaves derive from reeds in “Autumn Shoals and Waterfowl.” This work, thus, appears closer in date to the Qing dynasty.(20120105)
